Masi Magam

Masi Magam or Masi Makam Festival one of the most revered religious festivals of Mahabalipuram is celebrated at the Thirukadalmallai Temple in the month of February/March. Masi Magam is one of the imperative, colorful and profligate festival of Mahabalipuram. Thousands of people visit to the Mahabalipuram beach during this festival. They submerge themselves in the holy water. It is assumed that this bath is enormously auspicious. This festival is celebrated once in each year.

Pongal

This festival celebrate for the 4 days in the month of January. In the first day(Bhongi) of this festival people clean their home. In the second day(Surya Pongal) people made rice and jiggery and they decorated their home with Kolam and in the third day(Mattu Pongal) cattles are decorated and bathed with flowers. In the last day(Kaanum Pongal) people meet with friends and friends.This is the harvest festival of Mahabalipuram Culture .
